Life with four kids is grand in every sense of the word. Staying home lately (paternity leave) I’ve learned some things.
a. My wife is an alien.
I always thought she was from a foreign place, especially when we fight, but seeing her serve, endlessly give of herself and function with no sleep - I’m convinced she’s an alien.
b. God has sent the twins to break me.
My twins wait strategically till 4AM to sleep. They know where my breaking point is and wait till then to consider sleeping. Every morning I experience resurrection power.
c. Babies’ smiles makes everything better.
No matter what kind of day you’re having, if a baby smiles at you, everything turns magic.
d. Babies’ poo is serious business.
It matters not how young they are, poo poo is powerful. And no weapons formed against it shall prosper.
Thankful.
All in all, it’s been so nice to be home and really offer my help to the wife and family. We’ll have to figure out how we’re going to do this once I go back to work but we are confident that God will continue to take care of us.
We are especially grateful to all those that have helped us in our time of adjusting. Folks bringing us meals-on-wheels to babysitting, we’ve been overwhelmed with the love and support we’ve been receiving. Ekko, friends, family… we thank you.
Tribe.
Even on our break, Michelle and I are hearing so many great things that are happening in the tribe. It’s exciting to know that God is doing his thing within our tribe weekly… daily. I am also thankful to the Team Leaders (Directors) and Pastors that take care of the tribe… thanks guys for making this break a worry-free break. You guys are the best.
