I thought I'd take some time today to encourage you. Last month, we visited the Irvine Regional Ekklesia. We got to see the beautiful members of Ekko, serving and seeking God in that region. During our meeting, we got to share a bit about where we felt "Ekklesias" were headed. Mainly, that God was going to anoint the regions to start praying for its city/region and that a burden will be released to each group for something that God cares about deeply. We quickly went into a time of prayer, laying hands, and prophetically launching new leaders for 2017. Below is an email sent from Rebecca Kim about what occurred afterwards. I hope it encourages you and inspires you to continue to seek the Lord, for He is the God who hears our prayers.
Hi PB, Hope this is your email, I just googled it. This is Rebecca (wife of David Kim) by the way. I'm writing you to give you an update on the direction our Ekklesia is headed... After service today, I approached you about three different confirmations that your sermon had for our Irvine #2 Ekklesia.
After the regional Irvine gathering, the Irvine Ekklesias were commissioned to become Jesus' hands and feet and DO his will, rather than (just) discuss and study it. The leaders and hosts of #2 were convicted to start right away. We began to pray every night at 9:30 about the vision of our Ekklesia. We prayed every night for about 2 weeks and shared through text what we felt God was revealing. Prayer was a bit haphazard, but your sermon pieced together God's puzzle for us.
First, my interest piqued when you said the word "KAIROS" because that is what I felt in my spirit, that the Kairos moment would begin after the retreat (Sync 9)…
Here's the text.
You confirmed as I was sharing that the "fire" was moving from Irvine to LA and beyond, b/c Leslie Lim and Kevin are moving to LA. Anywho. The second and third confirmation was when you spoke about the burning bush. I was praying and I saw a burning bush. We tried to determine what it was referring to, but it was a mystery.
It's not every day that you see a vision of a burning bush. In your sermon, you said that the burning bush translates to our need to tend to and nurture our first love… So, we think that this is confirmation to start a prayer house… for praise and worship…
I got prayer from (Ekko Member) right before speaking to you, and she stated that our house in Irvine is a house that is a gift and a tool from God, that it is a part of a network that will have deep roots and that God will use it to bind up the broken. So... We have an Ekklesia meeting on Tuesday, Sept 13. We're going to ask the rest of the members (Irvine Ekklesia) for prayer and confirmation. Our desire is unity and for this house of prayer to grow organically and not be a burden to our Ekklesia members.
We really believe the prophetic word that went out by you and Isaac about our house bringing physical and emotional healing... We will continue to press in through prayer. Pray for us that we don't get weary or apathetic or discouraged before we can build this out.
