I recently noticed something. I was at a Walmart with my kids and they obviously had to go to the bathroom for the 100th time. So, we ran to the restroom. But at Walmart, there was a sink that was wheelchair accessible. It got me thinking, how accessible are we?
We are now in dialogue with Praise Chapel about making restrooms and our church more accessible to folks with disabilities. However, as you know, it's not our space, therefore it may take some time. Let's pray and prepare and be aware together so that all of God's children will feel... at home.
Below is Pastor Adam's recent message to us about the restroom:
"We don't want to spend money updating the sink right now because we're waiting for approval from the City of Fullerton to move the women's restroom so it will be next to the men's restroom. We're definitely going to make the new restroom accessible for the handicap though, so the sink will be lower for those who may need it." - Pastor Adam
Yay! Hooray! God is good. Let's pray that they'll get the approval in Jesus' name!
Also, pray for us, we are meeting with Pastor Carl, their Head Pastor, about another renewal on our lease. (Oct 2nd) We pray for wisdom and for blessings for both tribes.
